RME is pleased to announce that Dr. Dick K.P. Yue has joined RME’s Advisory Board. Dick is the Philip J. Solondz Professor of Engineering and Professor of Mechanical and Ocean Engineering at MIT where has been a faculty member in Ocean Engineering since 1983. His main research contributions are in theoretical and computational hydrodynamics, and he is internationally recognized for his expertise on ocean and coastal wave dynamics including extensive work in nonlinear wave mechanics, large-amplitude motions and loads on ships and offshore structures and for his seminal contributions in developing numerical methods for analyzing these types of problems. He has authored/co-authored more than two hundred papers and a two-volume textbook on wave hydrodynamics and ocean fluid mechanics. “We’re honored to have Dick on our team,” said RME CEO Bill Staby. “Not only is he a recognized world leader in his field, but he is also incredibly creative and deeply committed to the idea that wave energy can play a significant role in the world’s renewable energy future”
